On offer here is an antique set of books titled Five Years of A Hunters Life in the Far Interior of South Africa With Notices of the Native Tribes, and Anecdotes of the Chase of the Lion, Elephant, Hippopotamus, Giraffe, Rhinoceros, &c. By Roualeyn Gordon Cumming, published in 1852 vol.II by Harper & Brothers, Publishers, New York. Both volumes have been rebound in beautiful three-quarter leather gilt with five raised bands to the spine. Both volumes are in almost near fine condition. The same small contemporary owner's name/date present on the title pages of both volumes. Some scattered spotting/foxing to the front/back matter. Interior pages age toned at the extremities. Light wear to the cover extremities.
